Directions

From the South: Go north on 35W and exit at the 31st and Lake Street exit, just before downtown. Turn right on Lake Street to Park Avenue. Turn left on Park Avenue to 25th Street. Turn left on 25th Street and proceed to Portland Avenue. Go left on Portland to 2523 Portland Avenue. 

From the North: Go south on 35W and take the I-94 W exit (Exit 17B). Take the 11th Avenue ramp. Stay straight to go onto 17th Street East. Turn left onto CR-35 S / Portland Avenue to 2523 Portland Avenue. 

Parking

Visitor parking is available in the Ebenezer Tower Apartments lot. There is also on-street parking.

Ebenezer Tower Apartments offers you choices in independent living: both studio and one-bedroom floor plans. Each living option includes a kitchen with stove and refrigerator, fully carpeted living room and bedrooms, bathroom with walk-in shower, ample closet space and access to cable television.

Just outside your apartment door, you’ll discover a community room where you can meet new friends and socialize. Or, drop by the library for a good book, play a game of pool in our billiards room, or invite friends or family over for a gathering in our party room. We also have two large-screen televisions in our lounge areas, on-site laundry facilities, an exercise room and a plant conservatory. An Active Community

There is a little something for everyone at Ebenezer Tower Apartments. You can take part in a variety of activities and programs offered either at our building or at any other Ebenezer facilities on the Minneapolis campus.

Every month our resident’s help plan many activities including movies, bingo, birthday parties, outings for shopping or entertainment and spiritual activities. Residents also volunteer in our resident-run convenience store, deliver Meals on Wheels, operate the weekly Resident Bank and check-cashing service, and volunteer in our building and at other Ebenezer facilities on the Minneapolis campus.

Another popular activity is the garden club, part of Ebenezer’s award-winning horticultural therapy program. Members of the garden club meet twice a month with a horticultural therapist and participate in many activities including:

• Planning and planting gardens in raised, handicap-accessible planter boxes
• Creating seasonal floral arrangements
• Growing and tending houseplants
• Garden- and nature-related outings

• The building is surprisingly quiet. I love the views of Minneapolis from my windows. In the summer, I sit outside on the deck and read. When I unlock my apartment door, I am happy to be home.
• I intend to make Ebenezer Tower my permanent home. We have a resident social worker who has a good listening ear and even a soft shoulder to cry on. Our resident manager is a very savvy lady.
• Our meals are served dining-room style, and servers attend to your every need. If you prefer, they will even deliver meals to your apartment.
• This is an ideal living situation if you have mobility problems. We have a resident bank, a mobile post office, and dairy and produce is delivered weekly. There is also a weekly bus to the grocery store.
